The Hamlet Reel-Check is a Windows PC software based video and audio media measurement tool. Quality control is one of the methods broadcaster are starting to use on the incoming media be it file, tape format or a live feed to make sure it is compliant to their required published standards, which include standard tests like gamut and safe area and now also items like flashing in the video, if the media fails these checks they are returned sometimes with no reason given. ReelCheck can analyze various media files and inputs from any server across a network against a template in:- Real time when the video and audio can be monitored for other potential problems like failing safe area cages or in faster than real time unattended checking. Both methods give simple pass/fail indication and also a comprehensive log file so that the precise location of the error against time code can be identified reviewed and corrected
