The V1x2requires two hard drives. One for each channel. The V1x2 is availablewith a maximum of two channels of analog audio per video channel.

V1 DCT SeriesCommon Features:

The V1 is ahigh-quality Video Disk Recorder/Player designed to record and playbackvideo and audio using hard drives. It consists of a 3U rack mount unitwith a full function front panel and 2 drive bays that can house twoSCSI hard disk drives.

Due to itsfamiliar controls and operation, the V1 can function as an instantreplacement for a video tape recorder of any format, or as anadditional recorder/player. It is field accurate and can be controlledfrom an industry standard RS-422 serial interface using the familiar“Sony 9 pin protocol.” At the same time, the V1 has the advantage oflocating immediately to any position on the disk, providing instantaccess to the video data.

The video datais compressed using DCT compression and recorded along with the audioand the time code address onto the hard disk drive.
