Leader LT 444

Cypress, CA January 2004...Leader Instruments introduces a new LT 444 Changeover unit to assure continuous operation in analog as well as standard and high definition serial digital plants. Eleven channels output primary or backup signals in the event a fault condition is detected. Custom settings for each channel enable support forHD-SDI, SD-SDI (270 or 143 Mbps), AES/EBU digital audio and NTSC/PAL black burst as well as tri-level sync signals. Of the 11 channels, one through six support high definition serial digital interface. Detection levels will vary slightly depending on the type of input signal, which is defined internally via DIP switches and adjustable thresholds for custom fault detection levels. This makes the unit perfect for use in digital, analog or mixed environments.Front panel operation is straightforward and logical. 11 Fault Channel LED’s will light to indicate detection of a fault condition. These LED’s will remain on until the condition has been corrected and the Fault Indicator has been successfully reset. Fault Indicator LED’s will be on and/or blinking for Primary and/or Backup errors until the fault(s) has been corrected and reset.Auto Switching on a Fault condition can be Disabled for manual operation. The sync source that is being output is selectable between Primary or Backup. Finally, the front panel Key Lock is toggled on or off to prevent inadvertent operation.
